What is the triquetra ?
The triquetra comes from the Celtic triskin which literally means “three rays of light” (in Breton an triskell , in French triscèle). With the point and the circle, the spiral, from which the triskell originates, is one of the oldest symbols that humanity has ever known. Even before being a symbol, however, it responds to a functional reality that puts cosmic forces in communication with the resonance chamber of Man, which is the chest. The circle has always represented for the ancient Man, perfection, the vitality of the Sun and the very sign of Life.
