Description
Happy Tarot
Happy Tarot is an adorable tarot deck full of children and sweets, with illustrations by Serena Ficca, published by Lo Scarabeo.
The edges are light beige with no wording, just numbers and symbols. The Major Arcana have Roman numerals along the top and bottom edges, which is redundant. I don’t know why they felt the need to print the numbers twice on the cards. Minors have regular (non-Roman) numbers on the bottom and the seed symbol on top (candy canes for chopsticks, what looks like an ice cream sundae for cups, swords and pentacles). The court cards each have the suit symbol on the top edge and the court symbol on the bottom (what looks like an arrow or a wand for Pages, a toy horse for the knights, a small crown for the queens, and a smaller crown. great for kings.)
Most of the cards show children smiling, often with their mouths wide open, sometimes in a maniacal way (like in The Sun). The nudity in the deck is also lovely, as the private parts are covered with little hearts!
