The Fairy Lenormand Oracle is a large 36-card Lenormand deck with a fantasy fairy theme. The cards have elegant and detailed illustrations of graceful fairies in a world of fairy tales.<\/p>\n
Despite the title “Fairy Lenormand Oracles”, this is less of an oracle and more of a Lenormand deck. Artist David Corsi created a conventional Lenormand deck with the romantic fairy theme. These are your traditional fairies: sweet creatures with big wings, in beautiful clothes, who spend their days playing in a natural picture book setting. Here we see fairies (with a rather Scottish background) who live their daily life riding birds, deer, snakes, boats, fish or wandering around for flowers, bears, storks, dogs .. It seems like an enchanted life!<\/p>\n
This is a standard Lenormand deck as it has 36 cards, with no tarot ornaments such as the Major and Minor Arcana. Recent trends have expanded Lenormand decks with extra male and female cards and variations on Tree, Snake, and Child cards, but Fairy Lenormand has chosen to remain simple and relatively simple. The artwork has a naturalistic palette with an emphasis on country colors: forest greens, twilight blues, earthy browns, with flashes of amethyst, scarlet, lilac, orange and magenta.<\/p>\n
The images are created digitally and for the most part they are quite realistic. Sometimes that surreal softness so typical of digitally created works of art creeps in; but the images are so detailed that they go largely unnoticed. The images extend to the edges of the cards, the only edges are the frames around the card number and the correlation of the playing cards. The image on the back of the card, a stylized butterfly on a grass background, inside a woven wooden frame, is reversible. Since the Lenormand cards have no inverted meanings, the importance of this is purely the reader’s personal preference. The cards and guide are packaged in a sturdy cardboard box with a flip-up lid. The box is glossy and printed with deck images and card information, in 5 languages.<\/p>\n
